Sandy Clark, PhD
Dr. Sandy is a dually licensed clinical psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist. She received her doctoral training at Illinois State University in school psychology and completed her pre- and post-doctoral internships at The ABLE Center. Clinical training experiences included early childhood education through Head Start programs in the McClean county and neighboring areas, early intervention services for autism spectrum disorders, and assessment and treatment of a variety of childhood developmental and clinical disorders in both clinical and school environments.
Dr. Sandy specializes in the evaluation and treatment of developmental disorders, emotional, and behavioral concerns including developmental delay, autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, tic disorders, learning disabilities, anxiety/mood disorders, and behavioral concerns. Dr. Sandy strongly believes in incorporating and empowering parents and families to assist in the treatment of their child. She utilizes a child’s strengths and interests to help develop needed skills incorporating therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral strategies, play-based therapy, sensory strategies, CBIT, biofeedback, and family consultation to guide children and their families to more healthy and positive functioning.
